Welcome to the blog we never thought we would have...
a life we never dreamed...a journey like no other.
Wil and Jenny met in Milwaukee, WI in June 1999--Wil, a quiet city guy, computer tech, entertainment fanatic, and Jenny, an artsy country girl, working as a case manager at an inner city non-profit. The product of a blind date, love bloomed quickly and they were married in May 2000.
The couple currently lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with their two furry kids: Bella, a chihuahua, and Tyson, a rescued chiweenie. They are proud to call themselves Auntie and Unkie to some amazing kiddos. They love movies, friends, road trips, and cruises to warm sunny beaches.
Before cancer, Wil worked as a project manager and was back in school to finally realize his dream of being a math educator. He loves middle schoolers, if that tells you anything about his amazing character! He hopes to get back to school in the next year if treatment goes as planned. He is committed to seeing his dream of working with kids come true.
Jenny is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in families and children with early trauma. Her transition to a caregiver, coach, and advocate for Wil would seem like a natural fit, but it has not come without the array of ups and downs and trying to find her way. She believes we are all fellow travelers in this life no matter where we started--and has found even more passion for her work through the journey of cancer.
